Mobility
Teaching activities. This activity allows staff from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to teach at a partner HEI from abroad. Staff’s mobility with the purpose of teaching can happen in any academic discipline. Each agreement has to specify the type of mobility, the period and the domain.
Training activities. This activity supports the professional development of academic and non-academic staff from higher education institutions as training events taking place outside the resident country (except conferences) and as direct observation periods at the working/training place in a partner HEI or in other relevant organization from abroad.
A study period can combine teaching and training activities.
The mobility that university staff can benefit from is supposed to have the following results:
- improving competences that regards professional profile (teaching, training, working with young people)
- deeper understanding of practices, politics and education systems
- improving capacity to trigger changes in the modernization and international openness in the institutions they represent
- a better understanding of interconnectation between academic education and the labor market
- improving the quality of work and activities for the benefit of students
- adaptability to social, linguistic and cultural diversity
- increasing the support and promotion of mobility for students
- increasing opportunities for professional development and career
- improving foreign language skills.
