The funding for Moldovan universities discussed with the European experts

Best practices of the European and international universities, such as strengthening partnerships with economic agents, conducting research activities, establishment of the study fees, internationalization, the involvement of the foreign students were discussed by representatives of the Moldovan universities and international experts.
The subject was developed during a technical assistance mission, conducted by the National Erasmus+ Office in Moldova.

At the event were also approached the aspects of internal universities’ finance management, with a focus on the decentralization of the institutional departments for a better economic efficiency.

The informing session, was held on Friday, 22 of September, at the Technical University of Moldova, after visiting some of the Moldovan universities which include The Academy of Economic Science, State University of Moldova, The University of Medicine, and the University of Agriculture, by the international experts Hans Vossensteyn, Director of the Center for Higher Education Policy Studies from the University of Twente and Jurgen Rienks, Director of International Relations of the Association of Universities in the Netherlands.

The purpose of these visits was to understand and later discuss, during the conference, the challenges that our universities are facing in the matter of funding and financial management, in the university autonomy context.  

The event was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Research of the Republic of Moldova.
