Monitoring session for the European Projects Tempus and Erasmus+, implemented at the Moldova State University
The Education, Culture and Audiovisual Executive Agency (EACEA) in partnership with National Erasmus+ Office, has conducted between 8-9 November at the Moldova State University a monitoring exercise of the all Capacity Building projects Tempus and Erasmus+ from which the university has benefited.
Thereby, during two days, 22 projects which are implemented starting 2008, have been interviewed, and the exercise represented a premiere for the Moldovan Universities.
The impact of the projects has been noted by the rector of the Moldova State University, Gheorghe Ciocanu, which mentioned the universities’ accomplishments in the technological transfer, research, development of the entrepreneurial initiative, improving the infrastructure, change of mentality in the context of projects’ implementing.
Also, France Dantin, project officer for Moldova and Belarus at the EACEA, headlined that the State University is the most active institution in implementing Tempus and Erasmus+ projects and the monitoring contributes to the evaluation of their utility.
„Is rather an action pointing the future of the projects. We would like to hear examples of good practices but also the challenges you had during the projects’ implementation”, said Claudia Melinte, coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office in her opening remarks.
The coordinators and project teams mentioned among the results the modification of several study plans, founding of some more new attractive Bachelors, Master and Doctorate curses for students, continue learning courses, development of online learning platforms as MOODLE, joint diplomas, improving cooperation with the entrepreneurial environment, supporting the innovation and research, the creation of such centres as for the protection of the intellectual propriety, business incubators, digitization of libraries, improvement of the university’s infrastructure, the internationalization of the institution, consolidation of the new partnerships and projects.
Also, the monitoring team has visited the university’s international relations department and the centres established during the implementation of Tempus and Erasmus+ projects.
