Erasmus+: additional budget to support International Credit Mobility (ICM) in the Republic of Moldova

European Commission informs about the providing of the additional funding for the Republic of Moldova in the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (ICM) KA 107 projects, in 2019 and 2020.

So, additionally to the budget foreseen for the Eastern Partnership, the Republic of Moldova could be offered in 2019 and 2020, 1.4 mln Euro yearly covering the new mobilities for university students and staff. This new budget window would allow funding around 600-700 new mobilities for students and staff (incoming & outgoing mobilities).

In the last two selections, Moldova has obtained on average 500 mobilities for students and staff per year. This new financial instrument could increase the number of the mobilities to 800 per year.

In the frame of the ICM projects, the students enrolled at a Moldovan university have the possibility to benefit from a study mobility (between 3 and 12 months) at European university – partner in the Erasmus+ Programme. In the same time, starting 2018 are available the traineeships for the Moldovan students (between 2 and 12 months).

The university staff can benefit from either teaching or training mobility for 5 days – 2 months period.

As in the case of the students, as in the case of the teachers, the mobilities can be combined study+ traineeship/ teaching + training.

According to the same principle, in the ICM projects, the Moldovan universities are receiving conversely students and university staff from the European partner universities.

The deadline for the ICM 2019 Call for Proposals is settled for February 5, 2019.

For additional information concerning the absorption of the new ICM mobilities by the Moldovan universities, the international relations offices and university staff are encouraged to contact the National Erasmus+ Office in Moldova (e-mail: erasmusplus@erasmusplus.md; Phone.: +373 22 88 16 30).
