The TEMPUS Project “Fostering the Knowledge Triangle in Belarus, Ukraine and Moldova”

Several universities from Moldova together with the Ministry of Education and other important institutions participate in a TEMPUS project called “Fostering the Knowledge Triangle in Belarus, Ukraine and Moldova”. The project is coordinated by the University of Paderborn, Germany, and the national coordinator in Moldova is the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova.

Some of the major project objectives include developing relations between Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova and the European Research Area; improving international competitiveness and public recognition of the partner universities; and creating a basis of intellect and resources for the successful integration of higher education, innovation and research in partner countries.

During the project implementation each participating country should analyze the ecosystem knowledge triangle in their country and develop a target specification that would describes the current situation of the knowledge triangle and determine the steps that need to be taken in order to consolidate it. In the end, it aims to accelerate the development of the three sides of the knowledge triangle (education, research and innovation) and their integration into the development plocies of the knowledge economy.

The target specification of the knowledge triangle in the Republic of Moldova can be found here.
